Joshua A Farmer, of Amissville, was airlifted to INOVA Fairfax after rear-ending a Freightliner tractor-trailer that was stopped at a red light in a 2017 Honda Accord, just before 6 p.m. on Route 29 (Lee Highway) on Sunday, May 19, Virginia State Police said.
Farmer was not wearing a seatbelt. A 6-year-old girl in the front seat was not in a proper child restraint device, police said. She was taken to Fauquier Health for treatment.
The driver of the Freightliner, a 47-year-old male from Bowie, MD, was not injured in the crash. He was wearing a seatbelt.
The crash remains under investigation.
